NZ en famille

Me voici enfin avec quelques photos des vacances en famille en NZ !

 
Pour info… voici le trajet que nous avons fait, vous pouvez suivre sur la carte ci-dessous !

Auckland – Pahia – Russel – Dargaville – Coromandel – Mt Manganui - Rotorua -  Taupo – National Park – Raglan (à hauteur d’Hamilton sur côté ouest !) – Auckland !

Les premiers jours nous sommes donc restés sur Auckland, le temps que les voyageurs se remettent du décalage horaire…

 Cela s’est fait rapidement, juste le temps que chacun retrouve ses marques ;) et que le haka devienne une dans familiale! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pour votre culture, les Maoris, venus de Polynésie, ont colonisé la Nouvelle Zélande (Aotearoa, "la pays du long nuage blanc") il y a environ 1200 ans. Même si aujourd'hui les Maori vivent à l'occidentale et sont très bien intégrés dans la société (au contraire des Aborigènes d'Australie), ils conservent leurs rites ancestraux. Les Aborigènes, c’est une trop longue histoire compliqué… cela me reste en tête de faire un article dessus… mais ya tellement à dire, les pour, les contre… comment vous faire passez l’ambiance d’ici !! Toujours est-il que c’est quelque chose qui m’a sauté aux yeux en NZ, les Mauris font partis intégrante de la culture nationale, de la vie Néo-Zed, du pays… ce qui n’est PAS DU TOUT le cas en Australie.

Les Maoris se sont battus pour arriver à avoir les même droits que les britanniques (traité de Waitangi) et que les Aborigènes eux on étaient mis à part de suite sans aucun droit

Ensuite, chacun a pris sa place en voiture et nous voilà en route pour de nouvelles aventures dans le Nord d’Auckland ! Cela dit, il faut reconnaître que la masse musculaire Mauris a sûrement pesé en leur faveur pour obtenir se faire entendre ! Tant mieux pour eux !!

Bon j’arrête de parler de ça… ce sera pour une autre fois !!!

Le Nord nous a dévoilé le Kauris le plus grand de NZ… 14 mètres de circonférence, assez impressionnant !

Nous avons vu le Nord sous la grisaille, 

 

 

 

mais la suite du voyage nous a réservé un temps somptueux. 

 

 

 

 

 

Alors quelques moments à la plage sont les bienvenus.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Au passage nous avons même emmené La Mère Grand au Subway ! ;)

 

 

 

 

 

Ballade au Mont Manganui où l’ascension vaut la peine. Jugez par vous-même.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Par la suite, nous nous sommes arrêtés à Te Puke, la ville où PA à travailler dans la culture du kiwis. Il a donc joué le guide…

 

 

 

Nous nous sommes ensuite dirigés vers Rotorua, qui est très connue pour son activité géothermique. On y trouve de nombreux geysers.

Sur des conseils, nous avons été à une rivière où la baignade s’annonçait bien agréable. Cela dit, nous n’avions pas prévu que l’eau serai TROP chaude ! A peine possible de rester 3 minutes, l’eau devait être à 40-45°C. Cela dit nous n’avons pas abandonnés et sommes allés sur d’autre conseils à une autre source d’eau chaud… un spa naturel.. quel bonheur !

 A la suite, un autre réconfort attendait dans la voiture : la TUI, bière néo-zed !

 

Là-bas, nous avons visités « les Champagnes Pool » avec leurs geysers et couleurs vives !!

Après nous avons fait un passage pique nique/baignade à Taupo :

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

En route vers national Park….

 Nous sommes arrivés en fin d’aprem à National Park, petite station de ski animé en saison.. mais nous y étions en été… cela dit, le décor était magnifique…

 Et je l’avoue, au restaurant conseillé par le Lonely Planet, j’ai pu déguster une fondue… au fromage pour le plat principal et une au chocolat pour le dessert !!! hummm !!! ;-

Après 5 jours de descente… il était temps de remonté vers Auckland… cependant… quelques arrêts s’imposaient !

Cambridge, Matamata (ville d’ailleurs devenu célèbre pour les tours touristiques au fil du film Lord of The Ring, la maison des hobbits, les paysages…) Mais pour nous une toute autre occupation, nous attendais : la recherche de haras !!! Que nous avons visité : 

 

 

C’est ce soir là, que … essayage de la robe de La Grand-Mère !! ;)

 

Avant le retour à Auckland, un arrêt obligatoire à Raglan.. non pas pour la ville, mais pour les spots de surf… et admirer les surfeurs appareil photo en main!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mais voici les artistes que nous sommes venus scruter…

 

 

 

 

 

 

Et si vous pouvez voir, au fond, un Maoris sur sa plage de surf traditionnel, encore plus difficile de surfer. La prise de la vague se prend debout !

Mais ce jour là, c’est un autre spectacle qui nous attendait… ;)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Non, non, vous ne rêvez pas, c’est bien un orque qui est venue tenir compagnie aux surfeurs !!

 

Raglan est connue pour « sa plus longue gauche » comme ils disent dans le jargon surfeur, la vague rentre dans la bay et part sur la gauche… lorsque l’on est dans l’eau ! Voici photos de la bay qui devraient mieux vous faire comprendre !

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ensuite, nous sommes enfin allés goûter l’eau par nous même, sans planche de surf…

Un courant très puisant, assez impressionnant, mais un endroit magnifique, je dirai même magique !

 

 

 

1/3 : Trip in NZ (first 3 weeks)

Here I am ready to describe my NZ trip!

So first of all, the first 3 weeks on the South Island!

 

5000km discovering the South Island!

This 3 weeks trip was amazing… with natural landscapes nicer and nicer and with a wide diversity!

First of all, presentation: I introduce you : Pierre Alain (my brother) and Henri! For those who don't know!

 

The organisation was simple… wild camping is great coz the view change all the times and places we found were particularly awesome!

Spots were amazing but there is also the joy of wild camping... finding desperetly a nice & pleasant spot! And sometimes it can be difficult.... and we tried every path to find somewhere to settle!

 

 

So… what have we done?

It’s quiet difficult to sum up in one article… and also to choose pictures!

But it’s my task… to bring you with me travelling with us!

I arrived in Christchurch… we went down along the East coast…

On the way, we stopped in Mount Cook to enjoy the glacier.

 

 

 

And we also crossed some bridge such as this one :  

And despite his stable aspect… when your on, with the wind… I didn’t feel so safe!!! Proof: I didn’t stop to take a picture! ;-)

In the Valley near Mount Cook, landscape was amazing… I was expected to bump into Legolas or Gandalf… coz the landscape was as in The Lord of the Ring! (actually there is some special trip “Lord Of the Ring” organised by Tourist Agency… quite famous… but as in Paris some trip are organised with “Amélie Poulain” theme!

 We have also seen some animals such as:

 

 

Just after this picture, I was 3 m. in front of him, he began to “run” straight to me with its mouth opened! I have to confess that I was not very proud!! ;-)

Ahahah… photograph is a very dangerous job!

But it worth it!

 

I know that on this last picture, it’s quite hard to see the pingouins… but we couldn’t go further as we had to stay hidden and not disturb them! Respect Mr Pingouins & Co.

 

 

 

 

 

We also saw… ducks…. (hihihi Yo!!! ;-) Mais là Yo, tu dois admettre que la photo de mon canard n’est pas ridicule… !!! ;-) )

 

And obviously, sheeps are over represented and we saw them everywhere… with most of the time beautiful views !!

After 1 week, we arrived in the Southern Point of NZ: Slope Point! (Southern Point of NZ!) 

 By the way, near the sea some trees have a “special style” because of the strong wind:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the Southern of the South Island, which is called the Scenic South Road, roads can be considered as a path… and with some problems with the car… if we had a problem in the middle of nowhere, it can be the bad!! But Carpe Diem and most of all we trust HER!! (the car) And we finally reached Auckland with no more problems with her! 

The fiords… Milford Sound and its fiords… Milord is a city were there is nothing! Everything is dedicated to the fiords… all for tourists… you can discover the fiords by boats, by kayaks, by helicopter… personally I would have preferred Kayaks… but we were 3… we choose helicopter… which allows the guys to do their “baptême”! (their first time)

The evening was not too bad too!!!

 

Near a lake… great spot, a bath.. quite cold… but eyyy we can’t have everything! A beach for ourself, potatoes in the fire and a great and nice moon reflecting on the Lake!!! But stop talking... 1 picture worth 1000 words.. so here is it!!

The next day, we reached Qeenstown, a town well-know for organising all kind of extreme sport! After a quick stop we were up to reached Wanaka… 

 This picture was done on the way between Queenstown and Wanaka! Wanaka, where Pierre-Alain and me booked our skydives for the next day!  By the way, our spot this evening wasn’t too bad:

after the instructions, we waited more than 1 hour to hear from the staff that “the sky is too cloudy so no jump today”!! grrrrrrr……… L It was the 24^th!!

So, we continued our way!!!

I have to confess.. i can't see it... just to test you!!! ahahah ;)

 

So it was the 24th... we tried desperetly to  find a place for the tente... but it was raining... it was wet everywhere!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 After searching on the road, we finally decided to reach Franz Joseph Glacier to spend the night in the backpacker!!!  We went to a restaurant the night of christmas, very nice!!!

The 25th, a barbecue was organised by the backpacker! Which is more or less an habit to do BBQ for Xmas! But it was quite cloudy, and it began to rain!!! 

 

 

 

Am I the only one to see a rabbit in those clouds??? Don't you find that it's the same rabbit as in Amelie Poulain, when she took a picture of it!!!!?????

 We continue our way on the 26th... and we stopped in the Pancakes Rocks!!!

 Did we see a kiwi????

We thought... but noour reaction was typically tourist reaction!!!!

Kiwi is a noctural bird who can't fly! 

This one can't fly, it's a bird.. but definitly it was during the day!!!!

So for your information, this s a weka!!!

We saw a kiwi.. with my family... in a captivity situation!

We couldn't take picture to not anoyyed them!!!

 THis evenin, we found a marvellous place!!! Spent so mcuh time watching the waves, waiting for the sunset!!! It was fabulous!!!

It was time to take the ferry to go up on the North Island!!

 

And guess what we have found in the middle of the night!

NZ... quick news

Everything is alright here in NZ!!!
I m in Queenstown at this time,

 

 

after 1,5 weeks discover all the east coast of the south island...

Wonderful...

 But i was sooooo cold... Apparently my body was used to hot weather...

Anyway... all is alirght.. as soon as i will be in Auckland.. i will probably have the time to add some pictures!!!

THe plan: tomorrow, sky diving is booked... ahahah... Skydiving on a Xmas day.. strange... do some wild camping at this periode is also strange... but great to become one with the nature!!! ;-)

NZ -> D'Day

Tomorrow is the D-Day… I was waiting it for 6 months !!! The day I am flying to NZ!!!

Some informations: Despite Auckland is the largest city, the capital of the country is Wellington.

Around 4 millions inhabitants

 

From the 13^th to the 19^th January, I will be able to discover this marvellous country… at least its what I heard before to arrive here and also what I heard here… so I want to discover it with my own eyes which is in my opinion the best way to discover a country… landscape, culture, tradition, locals, people, and enjoying the country!!!

That’s why… . I will be with  my Lonely Planet.. read a bit of it in the plane… but I really don’t want t see a lot of pictures of … before to go there!!! Ok I have seen some from friends because they shownme their trip there.. but that’s it.. no more!!!

And of course, I will also see my youngest brother!!! Ahahah... I am eager to arrive there!!!

I will arrive in Christchurch (Sth island)! I will travel with my brother and a french friend of him who I already know! We will travel with their car and they bought a tente... yeh yeh... let's go for camping!!!

I will try to give you some news as much as I can!!

Le Jour J est enfin arrivé... je m'envole pour la NZ demain matin.. au aurore... en effet, réveil programmé à 4:45!!

 Du 13.12 au 19.01, je vais découvrir ce pays si attrayant avec ses beautés naturelles à pertes de vue!!!  Après en avoir beaucoup entendu parlé, à mon tour d'aller voir de mes propres yeux.. le meilleur moyen d'apprécier la culture, le paysage, les traditions, les gens!!! Donc... 3 heures de vol demain pour découvrir le Lonely Planet... et en route pour de nouvelles aventures!!!

Et eveidemment, au del) du voyage.. du pays, je vais retrouvé mon 'ti frère!! j'ai hâte d'y être! J'arrive à Christchurch où mon frère et un copain français que je connais seront là à m'attendre!!! Ensuite, découverte du pays en voiture et camping en prévision!! ;-)

J'essaye de vous donner des news aussi souvent que je peux!
